22nd Street is a SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

The station is located at 7th Avenue & 22nd Street in New Westminster, which sits on the slope of a hill and overlooks the Fraser River. From the platforms, one can enjoy the views of the Fraser River, New Westminster, and Richmond.

22nd Street Station parallels the old BC Electric Railway Central Park Line right-of-way directly north of the station and is located directly east of the old Elsona Station.

In September 1990, a Park and Ride lot was proposed to be built within five years, but it never materialized.

Work began in February 2019 on bus exchange upgrades. Works included enhanced lighting, widened waiting areas, new bus shelters, and public art installations, as well as the installation of the electric bus charger. All works were completed on July 8, 2019.

An electric charger manufactured by ABB was installed in April 2019 at Bay 2 for the electric bus trial.

On January 8, 2024, work began on the installation of a second electric bus pantograph charger at Bay 1.
