189 Lafarge Park/Coquitlam Central Station is a Community Shuttle route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This is a north-south circular route running in Coquitlam. Service is available daily every 30 minutes, with service every 15–20 minutes during peak hours.
Trips depart Coquitlam Central Station heading north on bus access road, east on Barnet Highway becoming Lougheed Highway, north on Westwood Street, east on Lincoln Avenue, north on Pipeline Road, east on Dunkirk Avenue, north on Gabriola Drive, and west on Harwood Avenue to Harwood Avenue & Gabriola Drive, where it continues west on Harwood Avenue, south on Nestor Street, west on Dunkirk Avenue, south on Pipeline Road, west on Lincoln Avenue, south on Westwood Street, west on Lougheed Highway, and south on Lougheed Highway to Coquitlam Central Station.
September 2003 - Service introduced as C30 Coquitlam Station/Lafarge Park during Community Shuttle service rollout in the Tri-Cities. Service replaced the 165 LaFarge Park/Coquitlam Station
September 2005 - Route became bike rack equipped
April 2007 - Due to increased demand, the first two weekday morning trips revised to operate with conventional buses. Return routing from Lafarge Park revised to operate on Harwood, Nester, Dunkirk, and Pipeline instead of Harwood, Nester, Gabriola, Pipeline[1]
December 2013 - Routing revised to go along Westwood Street between Glen Drive and Lincoln Avenue to improve service reliability and to replace the Westwood Street portion of the C38. Service on Pinetree Way discontinued[2]
December 2016 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: C30 re-numbered to 189. Routing revised to go via Lincoln Avenue between Westwood Street and Pipeline Road in both directions instead of Glen Drive. Service discontinued on Westwood Street between Glen and Lincoln and on Glen Drive; service introduced on Pipeline Road between Glen and Lincoln[3]
