This is an east-west route connecting Scottsdale Exchange in Surrey and Bridgeport Station in Richmond. Service runs on weekdays only during peak hours every 15–20 minutes in the morning and every 20–30 minutes in the afternoon. Morning service runs towards Bridgeport Station and afternoon service runs towards Scottsdale Exchange.
Eastbound trips depart Bridgeport Station heading south on Great Canadian Way, east on Bridgeport Road, south on the bus lane on-ramp to access Highway 99 where it continues south, then taking the Ladner Trunk Road exit and east on Ladner Trunk Road becoming Highway 10, north on Scott Road, and east on 74 Avenue to Scottsdale Exchange.
Westbound trips depart Scottsdale Exchange heading west on 74 Avenue, south on Scott Road, west on Highway 10 becoming Ladner Trunk Road, merging onto Highway 99 where it continues west, then taking the Bridgeport Road exit where it heads west on Bridgeport Road, and north on Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station.
April 1987 - Service introduced as 311 Scottsdale Mall/Vancouver running every 30 minutes[1]
October 1993 - Service proposed to run with fewer trips due to low ridership[2]
September 2000 - Northbound service revised to service Massey Exchange by request only following the relocation of the stop from the Tourist Information Centre to the Steveston Highway off-ramp.[3] Operations moved from Surrey Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre
August 2001 - Service rerouted off Ladner Trunk Road and onto Highway 91 due to weight restrictions on the Big Slough Bridge
December 2002 - Introduction of an additional afternoon trip at the start of the PM peak hour service to address overcrowding
September 2004 - Service returns to Ladner Trunk Road following the completion of the reconstruction of the Big Slough Bridge[4]
December 2005 - Introduction of an additional morning trip to address overcrowding
September 2009 - Operations transferred to Richmond Transit Centre and northern terminus moved from Downtown Vancouver to Bridgeport Station with the opening of the Canada Line and service frequency increased[5][6]
August 2020 - Introduction of double-decker buses on occasional eastbound trips
September 2020 - Introduction of double-decker buses on select westbound trips and on the last eastbound trip
January 2022 - Introduction of additional eastbound trips running with double-decker buses
November 7, 2022 - Southbound routing revised to no longer take Sea Island Way. Service revised to use Bridgeport Road to access Highway 99 following the completion of the bus lane on-ramp
