256 Whitby Estates/Park Royal is a Community Shuttle route operated by West Vancouver Transit under contract with TransLink in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This is a north-south circular route running in West Vancouver connecting the Whitby Estates, Spuraway Lodge, and Park Royal. Service runs daily every hour with extended evening service on Fridays.
Trips depart Park Royal heading east on Marine Drive, north on Taylor Way, east on Inglewood Avenue, south on 3rd Street, east on Keith Road to Spuraway Lodge, then west on Keith Road, south on Taylor Way, west on Marine Drive, north on 22nd Street, east on Gordon Avenue, north on 21st Street, west on Skilift Road, north on Folkstone Way, east on Chippendale Road to Chippendale Road & Westhill Drive, where the route returns to Park Royal heading west on Westhill Road, south on 21st Street, west on Gordon Avenue, south on 22nd Street, and east on Marine Drive to Park Royal.
Spuraway Lodge is only serviced by Whitby Estates trips and is a flag stop. Service between 21st Street & Inglewood Avenue and Chippendale Road & Westhill Drive in both directions are flag stops.
On weekdays, one northbound trip starting from Park Royal runs as 256 Park Royal and short-turns at Spuraway Lodge, returning to Park Royal.

December 2007 - Service introduced with hourly service, connecting Park Royal and Whitby Estates[1]
Late-2008 - Spuraway Lodge branch service introduced for select trips
September 2012 - Proposal to turn the route into a two-way service and extend to British Properties[2]
November 2015 - Service proposed to be restructured to provide a two-way service through Chartwell and the British Properties[3]
December 2018 - All weekday trips revised to go via Spuraway Lodge except for the first trip
June 2019 - All weekend/holiday trips revised to go via Spuraway Lodge
September 2019 - June 2019 service change reverted and select weekend/holiday trips revised to not service Spuraway Lodge. First weekday trip revised to travel the full route
January 2020 - September 2019 service change reverted and all weekend/holiday trips revised to go via Spuraway Lodge
May 2–11, 2020 - Service adjusted to start at 7 a.m. instead of 6 a.m. on weekdays as part of cost-saving measures due to low ridership relating to the COVID-19 pandemic
