This was a north-south express route connecting Surrey Central Station and White Rock South. Service ran during peak hours only every 30 minutes, with morning service running towards Surrey Central Station and afternoon service running towards White Rock South.
Northbound trips departed from King George Highway & 11th Avenue heading north on King George and west on 16th Avenue/North Bluff Road to White Rock Centre. Continuing from White Rock Centre, trips went north on 152nd Avenue, north on King George Highway, east on 68th Avenue becoming 138th Street, and west on 72nd Avenue to Newton Exchange. Continuing from Newton Exchange, trips went west on 72nd Avenue, north on King George Highway, west on 102nd Avenue, and north on 135th Street to Surrey Central Station.
Southbound trips departed Surrey Central Station heading south on 135th Street, west on 102nd Avenue, south on 134A Street, east on Old Yale Road, south on King George Highway, and east on 72nd Avenue to Newton Exchange. Continuing from Newton Exchange, trips went east on 72nd Avenue, south on 138th Street becoming 68th Avenue, south on King George Highway, south on 152nd Street, and east on 16th Avenue/North Bluff Road to White Rock Centre. Continuing from White Rock Centre, trips went east on 16th Avenue/North Bluff Road, south on King George Highway, east on 8th Avenue and then turning around at the Highway 99 on/off-ramps, west on 8th Avenue and north on King George Highway to King George & 11th Avenue.[1][2]
390 Stopping Procedures
Pick-up and drop-off service at all stops on northbound trips. On southbound trips, pick-up only at all stops until Newton Exchange, where pick-up and drop-off service is available at all stops to White Rock South.
April 1987 - Service introduced as 390 Scott & 96th Avenue/22nd Street Station, a peak hour only service[3]
March 1990 - Service discontinued following opening of SkyTrain extension to Scott Road Station[4]
1990–1992 - Service revised to 390 Scott Road Station/White Rock Centre
September 1991 - Southbound trips to White Rock Centre along King George Highway revised to go via 152nd Street, 18th Avenue, Martin, North Bluff to White Rock Centre[5]
March 1994 - PM peak hour trips revised to go via Surrey Central Station following the completion of the SkyTrain extension to King George[6]
April 1994 - Service revised to operate as 390 White Rock Centre/Surrey Central Station as the terminus is moved from Scott Road Station to Surrey Central Station
June 1997 - All trips extended to White Rock South[7]
September 1997 - Trips leaving White Rock South revised to operate via King George Highway, 16th Avenue to 152nd Street instead of 164th Street, 10th Avenue, and Stayte/160th Street[8]
