History
- September 1997 - Service introduced to provide improved service between White Rock Centre and central Surrey with SkyTrain service, as well as to replace the 353 White Rock Centre/22nd Street Station, the peak hour extension of the 353 Ocean Park/White Rock Centre. Service operated as a local service from White Rock Centre to King George Highway & Crescent Road and non-stop to King George Station. The terminus at King George Station in front of the main entrance on King George Highway was initially a temporary measure until the completion of a never-built bus loop at the station[1]
- October 2001 - Service frequency and stopping procedures revised to reflect the discontinuation of the 390 White Rock Centre/King George Station[2][3]
- October 22, 2001 - Due to schedule reliability problems, all trips revised to start/terminate at King George Station instead of starting from Surrey Central Station in the afternoon[4]
- September 2003 - Route became wheelchair accessible and equipped with bike racks[5]
- April 2012 - Orion V coaches introduced to the route for added passenger comfort
- September 2016 - Stop consolidation and stopping pattern north of 72 Avenue made similar to that of the 96 B-Line[6]
- April 2021 - Service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes in both directions and service was revised to start earlier in the morning
- April 2022 - Routing in both directions revised to go via 72 Avenue, 138 Street and 68 Avenue to better service the Newton area and to provide service along 72 Avenue near Newton Exchange. Service on King George Boulevard between 72 Avenue and 68 Avenue discontinued, resulting in the discontinuation of the southbound King George & 72 Avenue and northbound King George & 68 Avenue stops. Although Newton Exchange will not be directly serviced due to capacity issues, the possibility of a stop at Newton Exchange will be reviewed following planned improvements to the bus loop in conjunction with the introduction of the R6 Scott Road RapidBus in the near future
- June 2022 - Operations transferred from Surrey Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre
