104 22nd Street Station/Annacis Island is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is a north-south circular route connecting 22nd Street Station in New Westminster and Annacis Island in Delta via Queensborough and Port Royal in New Westminster. Service runs daily every 30 minutes, increasing to every 12–15 minutes during peak hours. Nighttime service daily runs every hour.
Trips depart from 22nd Street Station heading east on 7th Avenue, south on 20th Street, west on Stewardson Way looping south onto Highway 91A and across the Queensborough Bridge taking the Howes Street exit heading south, east on Ewen Avenue, north on Boyd Street, east on Duncan Street, south on Furness Street, west on Ewen Avenue, south on Derwent Way and across the Annacis Island Swing Bridge, west on Belgrave Way, south on Audley Boulevard, west on Cliveden Avenue to the 1600 Block on Cliveden Avenue. Return trips continue south on Cliveden Avenue, east on Derwent Way and across the Annacis Island Swing Bridge becoming Boyd Street, east on Duncan Street, south on Furness Street, west on Ewen Avenue, north on Howes Street, east on Highway 91A and across the Queensborough Bridge, north on 23rd Street, and east on 7th Avenue to 22nd Street Station.
During morning peak hours, a short-turn service to Port Royal operates as 104 Queensborough. These trips go via the regular route from 22nd Street Station until westbound Ewen Avenue & Boyd Street, where it continues west on Ewen Avenue instead of heading south on Derwent Way to return to 22nd Street Station.

History
- March 1986 - Service introduced as 104 22nd Street Station/Annacis Island/Queensboro to replace portions of the 102 Lougheed Mall/Annacis Island/Queensboro.[1] Sunday/holiday trips extended from 22nd Street Station to New Westminster Station
- May 1986 - Sunday/holiday extension from 22nd Street Station to New Westminster Station discontinued[2]
- September 1986 - Three weekday trips revised to terminate at Ewen & Furness in Port Royal instead of the Annacis Traffic Circle[3]
- April 1987 - Service discontinued after service combined with the 101[4]
- December 1995 - Route re-introduced extended westward on Annacis Island, with 15 to 30-minute frequency and no Sunday or holiday service replacing shuttle service provided by 340 Annacis Island Shuttle. Service on Eaton and on Audley to Cliveden Avenue on Annacis Island discontinued; routing slightly different from the current by taking Ewen Avenue to Pembina, Salter Street and then Channel Bridge[5][6]
- September 1998 - Peak hour service to Port Royal introduced[7]
- February 1999 - Routing along Pembina discontinued following the introduction of traffic signals on Ewen at Derwent[8]
- September 2000 - Operations transferred from Burnaby Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre, with some trips continuing to be operated by Surrey Transit Centre. Northbound AM peak hour service improved with a school tripper revised to operate as a regular trip via Port Royal to provide a consistent 15-minute service
- April 2003 - Route became wheelchair accessible[9]
- September 2003 - Service in Port Royal revised:
- Introduction of two-way service instead of northbound in the AM peak and southbound in the PM peak
- Extend Port Royal service into midday
- Increase PM peak hour service from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- April 2008 - Sunday and holiday service increased to a 30-minute frequency between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM[10]
- September 2016 - Route operations moved from Port Coquitlam Transit Centre and Richmond Transit Centre to Hamilton Transit Centre as part of a mass re-organization involving the closure of North Vancouver Transit Centre and the transfer of all its operations to Burnaby Transit Centre
- May 2017 - Service proposed to service Port Royal all-day, daily[11]
- September 2018 - All weekday evening and all weekend trips revised to operate via Port Royal[12][13]
- January 2021 - PM peak hour service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes
- January 2022 - COVID-19 service adjustment: PM peak hour service reduced from every 12–15 minutes to every 15 minutes
- September 2023 - Introduction of AM peak hour short-turn 104 Queensborough trips
- January 2025 - Various daily service increases:
- Daily evening service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes
- Sunday/holiday service advanced to start an hour earlier from approximately 0800 to approximately 0700
- Sunday/holiday mid-morning service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes
