Sea Island Centre is a SkyTrain station in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Station Details

Sea Island Centre is located at Grant McConachie Way and Aurora Connector. The station is one of three airport stations located on Sea Island. Funding was provided by the Vancouver International Airport Authority for the construction of the three stations at approximately $300 million.

The station provides access to airport parking lots and surrounding airport service buildings. A pedestrian overpass stretches over the station and Grant McConachie Way.

During planning, Sea Island Centre was called YVR 2[1] and Jericho Road.[2] This was later changed in 2006 to its current name.[3]

Architecture

The design of Sea Island Centre reflects the speed and movement of the airport access roads that surround the station. The lightness and gently curved roof and glazed glass contrast the strong linear edges of Grant McConachie Way and North Service Road.[4]

Bus Routes

There are no regular transit bus services during the day. When the Canada Line is not running at night, the N10 provides limited service on select trips. Trips going towards the airport travel on North Service Road and trips going away from the airport and towards Richmond or Vancouver on Miller Road.

Passengers travelling on Monthly Pass and other passes are not required to pay the AddFare.

Travel between the three airport stations is free only if passengers select the "Sea Island Only" Compass Ticket option at ticket machines.
