Coast Mountain Bus Company 16201–16226 are a set of 26 New Flyer Industries XDE60 units built in 2016–2017.

History

This series is completely identical to their 2015 counterparts, except for the fleet numbers being in FF Meta font, the new standardized font used by TransLink.

Wi-Fi installation on this series began in the summer of 2022 with unit 16204 being the first to receive Wi-Fi. Installation of Wi-Fi on all units was complete by early 2023.

Driver barriers were installed on this series starting in late 2019.

Starting in October 2020, the headlight assemblies on all units were gradually upgraded to newer all-LED assemblies as found on 18001–18063 and later sets of Xcelsiors.

Currently, this series is spread between Burnaby and Richmond. They are most commonly found on the following routes:

• 49 Metrotown Station/UBC
• 99 B-Line
• 143 Burquitlam Station/SFU
• 145 Production Station/SFU
• 257 Horseshoe Bay/Vancouver
• N17 UBC/Downtown NightBus
• N19 Surrey Central Station/Downtown NightBus
• N35 SFU/Downtown NightBus

Depending on operational requirements, they can also be found on the following routes:

• R2 Marine Dr
• R5 Hastings St
• 351 White Rock Centre/Bridgeport Station
• 403 Bridgeport Station/Three Road
• 430 Metrotown Station/Brighouse Station
• 555 Port Mann Express
• 601 South Delta/Bridgeport Station
• 620 Tsawwassen Ferry/Bridgeport Station

Initially, this entire series was allocated to Burnaby. With the arrival of the 18000 series New Flyer XDE60s, these units began to be pushed out to Richmond to replace aging New Flyer D60LF units in March 2019. By July 2019, the entire series was based out of Richmond. Starting in December 2019, some units returned to Burnaby.
