135 SFU/Burrard Station was a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This was an east-west express route connecting Simon Fraser University in Burnaby and Burrard Station in Vancouver running primarily on Hastings Street. It was a Frequent Transit Network (FTN) route, running seven days a week, 15 minutes or better, 15 hours a day.
Eastbound trips departed Burrard Station heading north on Burrard Street, east on W. Hastings Street becoming Burnaby Mountain Parkway, north on Gaglardi Way, east on University Drive East, and south on East Campus Road to SFU Exchange,
Westbound trips departed SFU Exchange heading east on University High Street, south on Tower Road, west on South Campus Road, north on Gaglardi Way, west on University Drive West, south on Gaglardi Way, west on Hastings Street, south on Howe Street, west on W. Georgia Street, and north on Burrard Street to Burrard Station.

History
- July 1961 - Service introduced as 35 Westridge, connecting Kootenay Loop and Pandora Street & Inlet Drive[1]
- September 1965 - Service extended up Burnaby Mountain during peak hours to coincide with the opening of Simon Fraser University[2]
- October 1984 - Service rebranded from 35 Westridge–SFU to 135 SFU/To Duthie/Kootenay Loop[3]
- March 1986 - Late-night service rerouted from Kootenay Loop to Hastings, Inlet, Ridge, Duthie, Curtis, Sperling, Hastings and back to Kootenay Loop[4]
- October 1990 - Accessible service introduced[5]
- September 1996 - Service revised to go via Burnaby Mountain Parkway following its completion. Service on Curtis Street discontinued[6]
- April 1997 - Route extended to Stanley Park, with express service between Hastings & Main and PNE Park and Ride. Local service provided by 35 SFU/Stanley Park running during evenings and on Sundays/holidays[7][8]
- (Westbound) via: East Campus Rd, South Campus Rd, Gaglardi Way, University Drive, Burnaby Mountain Parkway, Hastings, Duthie, Ridge, Inlet, Hastings, Richards, Pender, Georgia, Chilco to Stanley Park Loop
- (Eastbound) via: Chilco, Georgia, Pender, Seymour, Hastings, Inlet, Ridge, Duthie, Hastings, Burnaby Mountain Parkway, Gaglardi Way, University Drive, East Campus Rd
- December 1997 - Due to traffic delays on Pender Street between Burrard and Seymour, routing revised to operate via Burrard and Hastings in both directions[9]
- September 1998 - Articulated buses introduced. This service improvement results in the partial replacement of portions of the 285 SFU/Capilano College[10]
- September 1999 - Stop procedures in the express portion in Vancouver revised to allow for pick-up and drop-off in both directions. Service replaced the 35 on Sundays/holidays during the daytime[11]
- November 1999 - Route became equipped with bike racks[12]
- December 1999 - Downtown routing diverted via Burrard Street, AM peak via: Hastings, Burrard to Dunsmuir and PM peak via: Pender, Burrard, Hastings
- June 2002 - Western terminus moved to the Upper Zoo Loop due to the closure of Chilco Loop as part of Stanley Park Causeway construction.[13] Service to the Upper Zoo Loop previously during the summer only[14]
- September 2002 - Service through Westridge discontinued and evening service introduced to replace the 35.[15] Service on Inlet Drive, Ridge Drive, and Duthie Avenue discontinued to provide more direct service. Every second trip to short-turn at Burrard Station during daytime and evening hours Monday–Saturday
- February 2003 - Service proposed to be upgraded to a B-Line, to be numbered 96 with a planned implementation within 2–4 years[16]
- September 2003 - Western terminus revised to Burrard Station for all trips. Service to Stanley Park discontinued an AM peak hour service increased from every 8 minutes to every 6 minutes. Westbound routing revised to go via Hastings, Howe, Georgia, Burrard.[17] Some stops in downtown revised to address bus congestion:
- Discontinue service at WB Hastings FS Carrall, FS Cambie, NS Richards
- Introduce stop at WB Hastings NS Abbott, FS Homer
- July 2005 - Service proposed to be upgraded to a B-Line, to be numbered 95 with transit priority measures and improved passenger ammenties[18]
- September 2005 - AM peak hour 6-minute frequency extended to run until 10 a.m. to address increased passenger demand during the AM peak shoulder
- November 2015 - Service proposed to be discontinued and replaced by the 95 B-Line with portions of local service in Burnaby to be replaced by the 160 Port Coquitlam Station/Brentwood Station[19]
- December 2016 - Service discontinued and replaced by the 95 B-Line[20]
