322 Newton Exchange/Scottsdale is a Community Shuttle route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is an east-west route running in Surrey connecting Newton Exchange and Scottsdale Exchange via Panorama Ridge. Service runs daily every 10–20 minutes, increasing to every 12–15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes at night.
Eastbound trips depart Scottsdale Exchange heading east on 74 Avenue, south on 122 Street, east on 72 Avenue, south on 128 Street, west on 60 Avenue, south on 124 Street, west on 58 Street, south on 120 Street, east on New McLellan Road becoming 56 Avenue, north on 132 Street, east on 72 Avenue, south on 136B Street, and east on 71A Avenue becoming 137 Street to Newton Exchange.
Westbound trips depart Newton Exchange heading north on 137 Street, west on 72 Avenue, south on 132 Street, east on 58 Avenue, south on 136 Street, west on 56 Avenue becoming New McLellan Road, north on 120 Street, east on 58 Avenue, north on 124 Street, east on 60 Avenue, north on 128 Street, west on 72 Avenue, north on 122 Street, and west on 74 Avenue to Scottsdale Exchange.

History
- July 1976 - Service introduced as 322 Panorama Ridge, running between Scottsdale Mall and Newton Exchange and replacing the Panorama Ridge extension of the 324 132nd Street
- August 1978 - Routing revised to go via 128th Street instead of Scott Road in both directions, replacing portions of the Panorama Ridge extension of the 323 128th Street[1]
- January 1986 - Scottsdale Mall terminus revised to 70th Avenue between Scott Road and Nicholson Road instead of on Nicholson Road between 72nd and 70th avenues[2]
- June 1988 - Service discontinued due to low ridership and replaced by an extension of the 325 Whalley Exchange/West Newton/Panorama Ridge[3]
- March 1990 - Service reintroduced as route 322 Scottsdale/Panorama Ridge/Newton Exchange with service every hour via West Newton and every 2 hours via Panorama Ridge, replacing portions of the 325[4][5]
- October 1993 - Evening service and Sunday/holiday service proposed to be discontinued due to low ridership[6]
- February 1994 - Limited service through Panorama Ridge restored after briefly being discontinued following the completion of turning access from 132nd Street onto Highway 10[7]
- September 2005 - Service renumbered and renamed to C75 Newton Exchange/Scottsdale, with service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes. Unlike the former 322, service via Panorama Ridge no longer ran every two hours as all trips are revised to go via Panorama Ridge, resulting in a discontinuation of service on 64th Avenue for 322 trips that bypassed Panorama Ridge
- December 2007 - Service hours extended until 9 PM daily[8]
- June 2018 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: service reverted back to the original number 322 with no changes in routing or frequency[9]
- September 2021 - Operations transferred from Surrey Transit Centre to Hamilton Transit Centre to free up space for conventional buses in Surrey
- January 2023 - Various daily service increases:
- First eastbound weekday trip advanced 20 minutes earlier
- PM peak hour service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Last eastbound weekday trip advanced 20 minutes later
- First westbound Saturday trip advanced 30 minutes earlier
- Weekend/holiday late-afternoon/evening service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- Last weekend/holiday eastbound trip advanced 30 minutes later
- April 2023 - Various daily service increases:
- Weekday midday service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- Last westbound weekday trip advanced to 10 minutes later
- Saturday daytime service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- Sunday/holiday daytime service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes and late evening westbound service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- September 2023 - Various service increases
- Weekday evening service increased from every 15–20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Last trip towards Scottsdale on Saturdays advanced from 9:20 p.m. to 9:40 p.m.
- Last trip towards Newton on Saturdays advanced from 9:10 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- April 2024 - Various daily service increases:
- First westbound trip advanced to start 20 minutes earlier at 4:50 a.m.
- First eastbound trip advanced to start 20 minutes earlier at 5:20 a.m.
- AM peak hour service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- PM peak hour service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes
- Saturday and Sunday/holiday evening service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Sunday/holiday nighttime service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- September 2024 - Various daily service increases:
- Weekday midday service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes and eastbound PM peak hour service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes. This change results in a 15-minute base frequency for weekdays
- First Saturday westbound trip advanced from 7:50 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
- Saturday midday and afternoon service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Sunday/holiday mid-morning service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes and afternoon service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- January 2025 - Introduction of later service daily as service is extended to run from approximately 2200 until midnight every 30 minutes
- April 2025 - Various service increases:
- Westbound early morning weekday service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- PM peak hour service increased from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes
- Eastbound weekday evening service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes
- First westbound departure on Saturdays advanced from 0730 to 0710
- First eastbound departure on Saturdays advanced from 0820 to 0800
