403 Bridgeport Station/Three Road is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is a north-south route running in Richmond connecting Bridgeport Station and the Riverport Entertainment Complex, running primarily along No. 3 Road and Steveston Highway. Service runs daily every 20–30 minutes on weekdays, increasing to every 15 minutes during peak hours. Service on weekends run every 15–30 minutes.
Northbound trips depart from the Riverport Entertainment Complex heading west on Entertainment Boulevard, merging onto Steveston Highway, north on No. 3 Road. east on Bridgeport Road, north on Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station.
Southbound trips depart from Bridgeport Station heading south on Great Canadian Way, west on Bridgeport Road, south on No. 3 Road, east on Steveston Highway merging onto Entertainment Boulevard to the Riverport Entertainment Complex.
During PM peak hours, southbound trips bypass the stop at Steveston Highway & Coppersmith Place.
Select evening and late-night trips departing from Riverport terminate at Steveston Highway & No. 5 Road.

History
- 1958 - Service introduced as the 63 No. 3 Road, connecting Sexsmith Loop with Steveston Highway & No. 3 Road. Replaced portions of the 74 No. 3–4 Road
- July 1961 - Midday weekday service revised to extend from Sexsmith Loop to Downtown Vancouver and ran as part of the 60 Richmond Express to eliminate the need to transfer between local Richmond routes and the number 60 bus[1]
- August 1977 - Route renumbered from 63 to 403 and routing revised to serve Richmond Centre and Sexsmith Loop only during AM peak hours; peak hour service extended to Vancouver[2]
- May 1984 - Destination sign simplification: Service renamed from 403 No. Three Road to 403 Three Road/Vancouver[3]
- December 1991 - Accessible service introduced on select trips[4]
- December 1996 - All trips daily revised to terminate at Horseshoe Way & No. 5 Road instead of Steveston Highway & Southgate Road[5]
- April 1997 - Morning peak service revised to go via Garden City and Capstan to service Sexsmith Park & Ride[6]
- April 1998 - Service extended to Riverport Entertainment Complex, replacing the Riverport portions of the 405; service to Horseshoe Way discontinued[7]
- September 2000 - Operations transferred from Oakridge Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre
- August 2001 - Service to Vancouver discontinued and northern terminus revised to Richmond Centre;[8] service change deferred from April due to transit strike[9]
- October 2001 - Late-night Owl service cancelled due to funding shortfall[10]
- April 2002 - Frequency adjusted to reduce service duplication following the extension of limited peak hour trips of the 98 B-Line to Steveston & Shell[11]
- December 2008 - Joined the Frequent Transit Network[12]
- Summer 2009 - New Flyer Industries ex-CNG C40LFs begin service in Richmond
- September 2009 - Route extended from Richmond Centre to Bridgeport Station to service Canada Line stations in between; frequencies increase to become feeder route[13]
- October 2009 - Bus bays at Richmond–Brighouse Station reorganized; stops relocated from Bays 3 and 4
- February 2011 - Introduction of articulated buses on select AM peak hour trips continuing as a 480 UBC and select PM peak hour trips coming off a 480 Bridgeport Station
- October 21, 2014 - PM peak hour southbound trips revised to skip the stop at Steveston Highway & Coppersmith Place to address traffic and congestion concerns. This was initially a temporary measure
- October 25, 2021 - Capstan Station construction: Northbound trips revised to go via Capstan Way, Sexsmith Road, and Bridgeport Road due to the closure of bus stops on No. 3 Road between Capstan Way and Bridgeport Road
- January 2022 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Peak hour service reduced from every 10–15 minutes to every 15 minutes
- September 2024 - 15-minute PM peak hour service extended until 6 p.m. due to overcrowding between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. when service drops to every 20 minutes
- December 30, 2024 - Completion of Capstan Station construction. Northbound routing returns to No. 3 Road between Capstan Way and Bridgeport Road instead of going via Capstan Way, Sexsmith Road, and Bridgeport Road
