Route Details

This is a north-south route running in Surrey connecting Surrey Central Station and Newton Exchange running primarily along 140 Street. Service runs daily every 20–30 minutes, increasing to every 15 minutes during peak hours.

Northbound trips depart Newton Exchange heading east on 72 Avenue, north on 140 Street, west on 102 Avenue, and north on City Parkway to Surrey Central Station.

Southbound trips depart Surrey Central Station heading south on City Parkway, east on 102 Avenue, south on 140 Street, and west on 72 Avenue to Newton Exchange.

On weekday afternoons when school is in session, one northbound trip starts at 140 Street & 77A Avenue with no changes in routing.

History

• September 1975 - Service introduced as 325 140 Street, running between 140th Street & 88th Avenue and Whalley Exchange and interlined with the 328 Grosvenor
• July 1976 - Southern terminus extended from 140th & 88th to Newton Exchange
• June 1988 - Service extended from Newton Exchange to Panorama Ridge and select trips to West Newton to cover portions of the discontinued 322 Newton Exchange/Scottsdale Mall
• March 1990 - Service revised to run express peak hour service between Scott Road Station and Whalley Exchange; service to West Newton and Panorama Ridge discontinued and replaced by the 322
• December 1992 - Introduction of an additional school special trip in the afternoon leaving from Frank Hurt Secondary School
• March 1994 - AM peak hour trips revised to go via Surrey Central Station following the completion of the SkyTrain extension to King George
• April 1994 - Service revised to operate as 325 Newton Exchange/Surrey Central Station as the terminus is moved from Scott Road Station to Surrey Central Station
• April 2003 - Route became bike rack equipped
• December 2007 - Peak hour service improved to every 20 minutes
• September 2008 - Weekend and holiday service improved to 30-minute frequencies while Monday to Friday service is improved to 30 minutes from 6AM to 9PM in conjunction with routes 323 and 324
• September 2020 - Service renamed from 325 Newton Exchange/Surrey Central Station back to 325 140 Street
• January 2023 - Various weekday afternoon service increases
  • Late afternoon service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
  • Evening service towards Newton Exchange increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
• April 2023 - Various service increases
  • Weekday nighttime service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes
  • First Saturday northbound trip advanced to start 10 minutes earlier
• April 2024 - Saturday evening service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
• September 2024 - Various daily service increases:
  • Weekday early morning service between 7 and 8 a.m. increased from every 15 minutes to every 10–15 minutes
  • Weekday evening service increased from every 15–17 minutes to every 12 minutes
  • Saturday early morning service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
  • Sunday/holiday early morning and late afternoon/evening service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
