319 Scott Road Station/Newton Exchange is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is a north-south route running in Surrey and Delta along Scott Road and 72 Avenue connecting Scott Road Station, Scottsdale Exchange, and Newton Exchange. Service runs daily every 7–8 minutes and every 3–4 minutes during peak hours between Scott Road Station and Scottsdale Exchange. It is a Frequent Transit Network (FTN) route with service 15 minutes or better, 15 hours or more of the day, seven days a week.
Northbound trips depart from Newton Exchange heading north on 137 Street, west on 72 Avenue, north on 122 Street, and west on 74 Avenue to Scottsdale Exchange. Continuing from Scottsdale Exchange, trips continue west on 74 Avenue, and north on Scott Road to Scott Road Station.
Southbound trips depart from Scott Road Station heading south on Scott Road and east on 74 Avenue to Scottsdale Exchange. Continuing from Scottsdale Exchange, trips continue east on 74 Avenue, south on 122 Street, and east on 72 Avenue to Newton Exchange.
Early weekday morning northbound trips do not serve the stop at Scott Road & Lien Road.
During peak hours, southbound trips departing from Scott Road station alternate between Newton Exchange and short-turning at Scottsdale Exchange. In addition, some northbound trips start at Scottsdale Exchange and head towards Scott Road Station.

History
- May 1975 - Route introduced as 619 Scott FastBUS, running between Downtown Vancouver and Scottsdale Exchange via Pattullo Bridge and Scott Road[1]
- April 1976 - Routing revised to go via Willingdon Avenue and Hastings Street with the introduction of a stop at Willingdon & Halifax and at Hastings & Commercial[2]
- October 1976 - Service revised to take Highway 1 and Hastings[3]
- August 1978 - Route renumbered from 619 to 319 and off-peak trips revised to terminate at 8th Street & 6th Avenue in New Westminster[4]
- January 1986 - Peak hour service to operate as 319 Scottsdale Mall/Vancouver via New Westminster Station to provide a better connection to SkyTrain. Off-peak service to terminate at New Westminster Station[5]
- March 1986 - Northern terminus moved to New Westminster Station.[6] Service to Vancouver discontinued
- May 1986 - Service rerouted to serve the Scott Road Park and Ride[7]
- March 1990 - Northern terminus moved from New Westminster Station to Scott Road Station[8]
- April 1994 - Select trips revised to operate between Ladner Exchange and Scott Road Station via Scottsdale Mall to replace service formerly provided by route 640 before its reroute[9]
- November 1999 - Route became wheelchair accessible[10]
- December 2007 - Route joined the Frequent Transit Network (FTN)[11]
- June 2008 - All trips are extended to service Newton Exchange to replace the 340 between Scottsdale Exchange and Newton Exchange[12]
- February 1–28, 2010 - Vancouver 2010 Olympic service: Introduction of additional late-night trips to connect with extended late-night SkyTrain service[13]
- October 2018 - Select trips to Scottsdale added on weekday afternoons and evenings to alleviate overcrowding
- January 2019 - Scottsdale PM short-turn trips discontinued
- April 2020 - Short-turn trips between Scottsdale and Scott Road Station reinstated during peak hours to alleviate overcrowding
- January 2021 - Sunday/holiday service increased from every 12–15 minutes to every 8–9 minutes. Late-night Sunday/holiday service increased from every 15–30 minutes to every 10–12 minutes
- April 2021 - Saturday afternoon service increased from every 8 minutes to every 6 minutes
- January 2022 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Weekday mid-morning service adjusted from every 5 minutes to every 4–5 minutes and late-morning service reduced from every 7 minutes to every 8 minutes
