This was a north-south circular route running in Burnaby connecting Metrotown and Royal Oak stations and the South Slop area of Burnaby. Service ran daily every hour, increasing to every 30 minutes during peak hours. All but two weekday afternoon trips were accessible.
Trips departed Metrotown Station heading east on Central Boulevard, east on Imperial Street, south on Royal Oak Avenue, east on Clinton Street, south on Gilley Avenue and west on Marine Drive to Marine Drive & Gilley Avenue. Continuing from Marine Drive & Gilley Avenue, trips went west on Marine Drive, north on Nelson Avenue, east on Rumble Street, north on Royal Oak Avenue, west on Imperial Street, and west on Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station.
Early 1950s - Service ran as 82 Burnaby–Stride from Larwill Depot to Edmonds Loop
Late 1950s - Service ran as 82 6th Street–Stride–Kingsway, extending to Columbia Street & Eighth Street in New Westminster
Early 1960s - Service ran as 54–56 Sixth Street–Stride–Kingsway, with service running to Edmonds Loop, then continued to Columbia & Eighth before returning to Vancouver
Mid-1960s - Service to New Westminster discontinued and service revised to operate as 54 Stride
January 1980 - Pender–Keefer Diversion closure: routing revised in Chinatown to take Pender Street and Keefer Street in both directions following changes to make Pender and Keefer two-way streets[1]
April 1981 - Chinatown routing revised to take Pender Street in both directions[2]
October 1984 - Service renumbered and renamed from 54 Stride to 114 Edmonds Loop/Burnaby South/Vancouver[3]
January 1986 - Service revised to operate via Edmonds Station provide a better connection to SkyTrain. Service operated as 114 Edmonds Loop/Burnaby South[4]
March 1986 - Western terminus revised to Metrotown Station. Service to Edmonds Loop via Edmonds Station discontinued and service revised to run as a clockwise circular route south of Royal Oak Station[5]
September 1986 - Service reduced to every hour during off-peak hours[6]
November 1986 - Service rerouted via Imperial Street and Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station[7]
September 2001 - Metrotown Station reconstruction: Terminus temporarily revised to Patterson Station[8]
October 2001 - All late-night service on weekdays and all early morning service on weekends cut due to funding shortfall[9][10]
November 2001 - Metrotown Station reopens; service to Patterson Station discontinued[11]
December 2005 - Service discontinued, with portions replaced by the C5 Royal Oak Station/Edmonds Station during Community Shuttle service rollout in Burnaby South[12]
