This was a north-south express route connecting the Pacific Coliseum and Phibbs Exchange. Service ran during figure skating and short track speed skating events at the Pacific Coliseum during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games from February 12–28, 2010. This was part of a TransLink-operated Olympic bus network that supplemented the regular transit service, not to be confused with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic bus network operated by the Vancouver Organizing Committee. The North Vancouver Games Express supplemented the bus services that connected North Vancouver and Vancouver across the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge. Southbound trips ran directly to the Pacific Coliseum while nouthbound trips ran directly to Phibbs Exchange.[1]
North Vancouver Games Express operations coincided with the start and finish times of events and the frequency of the service ran as-needed depending on the demand. Street parking along significant portions of E. Pender Street near the Pacific Coliseum was restricted to bus layover parking. Buses were dispatched onto this route three hours before events and for one hour after events.
Northbound trips departed from the Pacific Coliseum heading east on E. Hastings Street, north on Cassiar Street merging onto Highway 1 and across the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge, then took the Main Street exit to Phibbs Exchange.
Southbound trips departed from Phibbs Exchange heading south on Highway 1 via the bus-only on-ramp and across the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge, then took the E. Hastings Street exit by heading south on Cassiar Street and west on E. Hastings Street to the drop-off point at E. Hastings Street & Windermere Street, where it continued west on E. Hastings Street, south on Renfrew Street, and east on E. Pender Street to the temporary layover spot at E. Pender Street & Windermere Street.[2]
