This is an east-west circular route running in Maple Ridge. Service runs Monday–Saturday every two hours. There are four morning and three afternoon trips on weekdays and two morning and four afternoon trips on Saturdays.
Trips depart Haney Place heading east on McIntosh Avenue, south on 226 Street, east on Lougheed Highway, east on the Haney Bypass, east on Lougheed Highway, south on River Road, north on 240 Street, east on McClure Drive, south on 248 Street becoming Jackson Road and 100 Avenue heading east, south on 256 Street, east on 98 Avenue, south on 264 Street, east on 98 Avenue, north on 268 Street, and west on 100 Avenue to 100 Avenue & 268 Street. Continuing from 100 Avenue & 268 Street, trips head west on 100 becoming Jackson Road heading north and 248 Street, west on McClure Drive, south on 240 Street, west on River Road, south on Lougheed Highway, east on 105 Avenue. north on Tamarack Lane, west on Lougheed Highway, west on the Haney Bypass, north on 227 Street, west on 116 Avenue, north on 225 Street, west on Nor Avenue, north on 224 Street, east on Dewdney Trunk Road, south on 227 Street, west on 119 Avenue, and north on 226 Street to Haney Place.
One Haney Place trip in the morning and two Thornhill trips in the afternoon on weekdays go via Port Haney Station, routing via regular route, Haney Bypass, Callaghan Avenue, 223 Street, River Road, and Haney Bypass, then regular route.
Two Haney Place trips on weekday mornings take an alternate route and from 100 Avenue & 268 Street go via regular route to Lougheed Highway & Kanaka Way, then continue north on Lougheed Highway, west on 116 Avenue, then regular route to Haney Place.
Flag-stop procedures are in effect in both directions between Jackson Road & 101 Avenue and 100 Avenue & 268 Street.
September 2004 - Service introduced as C48 Thornhill/Haney Place to replace portions of the 722 Whonnock/Haney Place
September 2005 - Route became bike rack equipped
April 2009 - Service rerouted to travel by 240 Street, 104 Avenue, Jackson Road, 256, 98 Avenue and 264 Street; service along Lougheed Highway east of 240 Street discontinued[1]
June 2009 - Service into the Albion Ferry Terminal discontinued following its closure
December 2013 - Two morning and two afternoon trips revised to go via Port Haney Station to meet with West Coast Express trains. The second morning trip was scheduled to meet with the late-morning TrainBus towards Vancouver[2]
June 2018 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: Service renumbered from C48 to 748 with no changes in routing or frequency[3]
September 2018 - Haney Place trips via Port Haney Station revised to run only once in the morning instead of twice in the morning as the second trip did not align with any West Coast Express trains and also due to the discontinuation of TrainBus service two years prior
September 2019 - Alternate routing introduced for two morning Haney Place trips
January 24, 2022 - Eastbound routing adjusted at Haney Place to go via Dewdney Trunk Road, 227 Street, 119 Avenue, 226 Street to Haney Place instead of Dewdney Trunk Road and Edge Street to Haney Place
