Route Details

This is a north-south circular route running in New Westminster connecting Uptown and New Westminster Station. Service runs daily every 30 minutes.

Trips depart from New Westminster Station heading east on Carnarvon Street, south on Eighth Street, east on Columbia Street, north on Fourth Street, east on Agnes Street, north on First Street, west on Royal Avenue, north on Second Street, east on Sixth Avenue, north on Cumberland Street, west on E. Eighth Street, north on Colborne Street, west on Ovens Avenue, south on First Street, west on Eighth Avenue, south on Sixth Street, west on Sixth Avenue, north on Eighth Street to Eighth Street & Seventh Avenue in Uptown. Continuing from Uptown, trips depart from Eighth Street & Seventh Avenue heading north on Eighth Street, east on Eighth Avenue, north on First Street, east on Ovens Avenue, south on Colborne Street, east on Eighth Avenue, south on Cumberland Street, west on E. Sixth Avenue, south on Second Street, east on Queens Avenue, south on First Street, west on Agnes Street, south on Fourth Street, west on Columbia Street to New Westminster Station.

History

• September 2003 - Service introduced as C4 Uptown/Quayside during Community Shuttle service roll-out in New Westminster. Replaced former routes 102 Fraserview/New Westminster Station, 103 Quayside, and 108 Eighth Avenue/New Westminster Station. Route ran as a circular service from Quayside to Uptown at 8th Street & 6th Avenue via New Westminster Station, with evening strips short-turning at 1st Street & Royal Avenue. Midday and evening eastbound trips went via the Royal City Star Casino via Quayside, Front to casino, then Front, McInnes Overpass, and regular route
• September 2008 - Starting point revised from Quayside to New Westminster Station, routing to Quayside and returning to New Westminster Station before continuing to Uptown for most trips except on alternating PM peak hour trips. Discontinuation of route diversion to the Royal City Star Casino
• September 2010 - Uptown terminus revised from 8th Street & 6th Avenue to 8th Street at 7th Avenue. Discontinuation of service to Quayside and all trips to start from New Westminster Station. Discontinuation of all C4 To 1st at Royal short-turn trips. Quayside service replaced by the C8 Quayside/New Westminster Station
• April 2016 - Routing revised to go via 2nd Street, 6th Avenue, Cumberland Street, and 8th Avenue and stops introduced at Royal Square. Service on 6th Avenue between 2nd Street and 6th Street discontinued
• January 2018 - Operations transferred from First Transit to Hamilton Transit Centre
• September 2018 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: route renumbered from C4 to 105 with no changes in routing or frequency
• April 24–May 14, 2020 - Service suspended as part of cost-saving measures due to low ridership relating to the COVID-19 pandemic
