This article is about the New Westminster Community Shuttle service between New Westminster Station and the Quayside area, not to be confused with the discontinued and similar service 103 Quayside.
103 New Westminster Station/Quayside
ElDorado National Aerotech – S514 runs along Columbia Street towards New Westminster Station on the 103 Quayside in 2018.
This is an east-west circular route running in New Westminster connecting New Westminster Station and the Quayside. Service runs daily every 15–20 minutes, increasing to every 12 minutes during peak hours.
Trips come off a 102 New Westminster Station and departs from New Westminster Station heading east on Carnarvon, south on 8th Street, west on Columbia, north on 10th Street, east on Carnarvon and over the McInnes Overpass, west on Quayside to Renaissance Square. Continuing from Quayside, trips head north on Renaissance Square, east on Quayside Drive over the McInnes Overpass, east on Carnarvon, south on 8th Street, and west on Columbia Street to New Westminster Station, where it continues as a 102 Victoria Hill.
September 2010 - Service increased to every 15 minutes during peak hours and introduction of additional trips servicing Victoria Hill and the Queens Park Care Facility[1]
April 2016 - Route revised to service Victoria Hill to replace portions of the C8 Quayside/New Westminster Station and service to Fraserview via Richmond Street discontinued[2]
January 2018 - Operations transferred from First Transit to Hamilton Transit Centre
September 2018 - Community Shuttle branding dissolved: route renumbered from C3 back to 103 with no changes in routing or frequency[3]
January 2021 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Morning peak hour service reduced from every 10 minutes to every 15 minutes
April 2021 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Afternoon peak hour service reduced from every 10 minutes to every 12 minutes
January 2022 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Afternoon peak hour service reduced from every 12 minutes to every 15 minutes
September 2023 - Service split into two routes: service renamed from 103 Victoria Hill/Quayside to 103 New Westminster Station/Quayside and shortened to run between Quayside and New Westminster Station. Service between New Westminster Station and Victoria Hill renumbered to 102. This split was done to accurately track contractually required recovery times for Operators as the previous operation had a mid-route recovery at New Westminster Station, which could not be accurately tracked
April 2024 - Peak hour service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes
January 2025 - Service proposed to extend from Quayside to Queens Park via 4th Avenue as part of a long-term proposal[4]
