154 Braid Station/22nd Street Station was a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Route Details

This was an east-west route running in New Westminster connecting Braid Station and 22nd Street Street running primarily on 8th Avenue. Service ran daily every 30 minutes. Late-night service ran every hour.

Eastbound trips departed 22nd Street heading east on 7th Avenue, south on 20th Street, east on 6th Avenue, north on 5th Street, east on 8th Avenue becoming Braid Street, and north on Rousseau Street to Braid Station.

Westbound trips departed Braid Station heading west on Rousseau Street, west on Braid Street becoming 8th Avenue, south on 5th Street, west on 6th Avenue, north on 22nd Street, and east on 7th Avenue to 22nd Street Station.

History

• October 1973 - Service introduced as 185 Mundy running from 8th & Columbia in New Westminster to the Coquitlam Sports and Community Centre at Poirier & Foster
• April 1976 - Routing at the Coquitlam Sports and Recreation Complex revised to go via Schoolhouse, Poirier to Coquitlam Sports Centre for eastbound trips, with evening trips going via Foster to Poirier
• August 1978 - Service renumbered to 154 Mundy from 185 Mundy and replaced portions of the 186 Foster and the 933 Lougheed. Peak hour service extended to Downtown Vancouver
• March 1986 - Western terminus moved to 22nd Street Station
• September 1988 - Service extended from Coquitlam Rec. Centre to Lougheed Mall
• Formerly route 154 Lougheed Mall/22nd Street Station
• October 1990 - Accessible service introduced
• July 1992 - Service revised to stop on Winslow Avenue instead of inside the Coquitlam Rec. Centre loop resulting in minor routing change
• January 2002 - Service revised to go via Braid Station following the opening of the Millennium Line
• September 2002 - Eastern terminus revised to Braid Station. Service between Braid Station and Lougheed Mall via Coquitlam Rec Centre discontinued and replaced by an extension of the 156. Routing through Uptown revised to go via 8th Street near 8th Avenue
• April 2011 - Late-night service reduced from every 30 minutes to every hour due to low ridership
• September 2013 - Service discontinued and renumbered to 128 following a restructuring of New Westminster services
