341 Guildford/Newton Exchange is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Route Details

This is a north-south route running in Surrey connecting Guildford Town Centre and Newton Exchange. Service runs daily every 30 minutes, increasing to every 20 minutes during peak hours.

Northbound trips depart Newton Exchange heading east on 72 Avenue, north on 144 Street, east on 84 Avenue, north on 148 Street, east on 100 Avenue, north on 150 Street, east on 104 Avenue to Guildford Exchange. Continuing from Guildford Exchange, trips head east on 104 Avenue, north on 152 Street, west on 105 Avenue, and north on 150 Street to the layover facility.

Southbound trips depart from the Guildford Exchange layover facility heading south on Lincoln Drive, east on 105 Avenue, south on 152 Street, and west on 104 Avenue to Guildford Exchange. Continuing from Guildford Exchange, trips head west on 104 Avenue, south on 150 Street, west on 100 Avenue, south on 148 Street, west on 84 Avenue, south on 144 Street, and west on 72 Avenue to Newton Exchange.

On weekday mornings when school is in session, a school special trip departs from Newton Exchange following the regular 341 routing until 84 Avenue & 148 Street, where it continues east along 84 Avenue, north on 160 Street, and west on 88 Avenue to 88 Avenue & 160 where it terminates, adjacent to Holy Cross Regional High School.

On weekday afternoons when school is in session, a school special trip departs from 160 Street & 88 Avenue heading south on 160 Street, west on 84 Avenue and continues the regular 341 routing to Newton Exchange.

History

• August 2007 - Service introduced as 341 Guildford/Newton Exchange/Cloverdale, replacing the Newton Exchange, Guildford, and Cloverdale portions of the 340, merging the 340 Guildford and 340 Cloverdale branches as one route running via Newton Exchange
• December 2007 - Service extended to Langley Centre from Cloverdale via Highway 10 with 30-minute frequencies, replacing the Highway 10 portion of the 320
• April 2008 - Service increased on weekdays to run from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on weekends and holidays
• September 2016 - Service revised to operate between Newton Exchange and Guildford as 341 Guildford/Newton Exchange. Service between Newton Exchange and Langley Centre replaced by the 342 Newton Exchange/Langley Centre
• September 2019 - Guildford Exchange routing altered following the completion of the new layover facility. All trips via 150 Street and 104 Avenue to Guildford and all trips revised to terminate at 105 & Lincoln
• January 2020 - Introduction of school special trips through the amalgamation of the 804 Holy Cross School Special
• September 2020 - Afternoon school special trip revised to terminate at Newton Exchange instead of Scottsdale Exchange
• April 2023 - First Saturday trip towards Newton Exchange advanced to start 30 minutes earlier at 6:16 a.m.
• September 2024 - Saturday early morning service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
