Route Details
This is a north-south route connecting Richmond and White Rock via South Surrey and Highway 99. Service is provided during peak hours only, running towards Richmond in the morning and White Rock in the afternoon.
Northbound trips depart White Rock Centre at 16 Avenue & Johnston Road heading south on Johnston Road, east on Pacific Avenue, south on Centre Street, east on Columbia Avenue, south on Maple Street, east on Marine Drive, north on Stayte Road, east on 16 Avenue, north on King George Boulevard, east on 160 Street, west on 32 Avenue becoming 32 Avenue Diversion, north on King George Boulevard to South Surrey Park and Ride. From South Surrey Park and Ride, west on Highway 99, exiting on Bridgeport Road heading west, and north on Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station.
Southbound trips depart Bridgeport Station heading south on Great Canadian Way, east on Bridgeport Road, south on the bus lane on-ramp to access Highway 99 where it continues south, then taking the King George Boulevard exit to South Surrey Park and Ride. Continuing from South Surrey Park and Ride, the route goes south on King George Boulevard, east on 32 Avenue Diversion becoming 32 Avenue, south on 160 Street, west on 24 Avenue, south on King George Boulevard, west on North Bluff Road, south on Stayte Road, west on Marine Drive, north on Maple Street, west on Columbia Avenue, north on Centre Street, west on Pacific Avenue, and north on Johnston Road to White Rock Centre.

History
- March 1985 - Service introduced as 354 White Rock South/Vancouver to replace portions of the 321 King George beyond White Rock Centre;[1] service operated as 354 White Rock South/White Rock Centre during off-peak hours[2]
- November 1986 - Service proposed to be combined with the 356 in June 1987 and run as two-way circular routes in White Rock[3]
- April 1991 - Routing revised to serve South Surrey Park & Ride[4]
- September 1996 - Orion II models introduced to route under BC Transit's short-lived CUB (CommUnity Bus) program[5]
- June 1998 - Service daily after 7 p.m. discontinued at the request of residents[6]
- September 2000 - Northbound service revised to service Massey Exchange by request only following the relocation of the stop from the Tourist Information Centre to the Steveston Highway off-ramp.[7] Operations transferred from Surrey Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre
- August 2001 - Service by Orion V coaches introduced[8]
- January 2002 - Northbound routing revised to go via 32 Avenue and 32 Avenue Diversion to bypass King George Highway between 32 Avenue and Crescent Road to improve service reliability when departing from South Surrey Park & Ride to connect onto Highway 99
- September 2002 - Off-peak hour service discontinued as part of the introduction of Community Shuttle services in White Rock. Service on Russell, Finlay and Buena Vista discontinued: Northbound routing revised to go via 152 street, North Bluff Road, Stayte Road. Southbound routing revised to go on North Bluff Road to White Rock Centre.
- April 2003 - Route became bike rack equipped and wheelchair accessible[9]
- February 27, 2006 - Service in both directions revised to no longer route via 32 Avenue Diversion to the South Surrey Park & Ride following the closure of the site due to the expiry of the land lease and property redevelopment
- September 2009 - Northern terminus revised to Bridgeport Station from Burrard Station and service in Vancouver discontinued following the completion of the Canada Line[10]
- September 2017 - Route revised to service Morgan Creek by going via 32 Avenue, 160 Street, 24 Avenue, and King George Boulevard; service discontinued on 152 Street, 20 Avenue, 148 Street, and 16 Avenue. Routing through White Rock reversed in both directions and revised to no longer run as a direct service to White Rock Centre before doing the circular routing to White Rock South and back to White Rock Centre and instead run via White Rock South to White Rock Centre[11][12]
- July 2020 - Double-decker buses proposed to run starting in January 2021 but was met by opposition from the White Rock city council due to extensive tree-pruning required for seven clearance-problematic trees and the removal of one tree on Johnston Road and Pacific Avenue[13]
- December 2020 - White Rock city council reaffirms decision to not have double-decker buses run on the 354 due to the city needing to replace or prune existing clearance-problematic trees[14]
- January 2021 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Service between 6 a.m.–7 a.m. reduced from every 7–14 minutes to every 12–15 minutes
- November 7, 2022 - Southbound routing revised to no longer take Sea Island Way. Service revised to use Bridgeport Road to access Highway 99 following the completion of the bus lane on-ramp
- May 15, 2023 - One AM trip revised to operate with urban buses instead of suburban buses to address overcrowding
