172 Riverside/Coquitlam Central Station is a Community Shuttle route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This is an east-west circular route combined with the 171 Fremont/Coquitlam Central Station, connecting eastern Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam Central Station. This route is the northern half of the circular service. Service runs daily every 30 minutes and every 15 minutes during peak hours. On Sundays/holidays, service runs every hour, increasing to every 20–30 minutes during midday. Some trips run as "double-headers" spaced a couple of minutes apart during peak hours and are timed with West Coast Express train arrivals.
Eastbound trips depart Coquitlam Central Station heading north on bus access road, east on Barnet Highway becoming Lougheed Highway, north on Shaughnessy Street, east on Lincoln Avenue, south on Oxford Street, east on Prairie Avenue, south on Fremont Street, west on Riverside Drive, south on Ottawa Street, east on Dominion Avenue, and south on Fremont Connector to Fremont Connector & Dominion Avenue where it continues as a 171 Coquitlam Central Station.
Westbound trips come off a 171 Fremont and depart from Dominion Avenue & Fremont Connector heading west on Dominion, north on Ottawa Street, east on Riverside Drive, north on Fremont Street, west on Prairie Avenue, north on Oxford Street, west on Lincoln Avenue, south on Shaughnessy Street, west on Lougheed Highway becoming Barnet Highway, and south on bus access road to Coquitlam Central Station.
A morning school special trip operates as 172 To Ottawa and departs from Coquitlam Central Station to Ottawa Street & Riverside Drive with no changes in routing.
September 2020 - School Special trip revised to operate from Coquitlam Central to Ottawa & Riverside instead of from Dominion & Fremont to Coquitlam Central

April 2024 - Discontinuation of select peak hour double-header trips timed with the West Coast Express due to low ridership
