253 Caulfield/Vancouver/Park Royal is a bus route operated by West Vancouver Transit under contract with TransLink in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is an east-west circular route connecting Caulfeild and Park Royal in West Vancouver, with peak hour trips extending to Downtown Vancouver. Service runs daily every hour, with peak hour service increased to every 30 minutes.
Eastbound trips depart from Caulfeild at Caulfeild Drive & Headland Drive heading east on Caulfeild, south on Cherbourg Drive, east on Keith Road, east on Marine Drive to Park Royal. Trips to Vancouver continue east on Marine Drive, south across the Lions Gate Bridge and through the Stanley Park Causeway onto W. Georgia Street to W. Georgia Street & Hamilton Street.
Westbound trips depart Park Royal heading west on Marine Drive, north on 31st Street, west on Mathers Avenue, north on Thompson Crescent, north on Westmount Road, west on Westridge Avenue, north on Ripple Road becoming Almondel Road, west on Woodcrest Road, north on Woodgreen Drive, west on Woodburn Road, south on Northwood Drive becoming Headland Drive, and east on Caulfeild Drive where trips return to Park Royal or extend to Vancouver.
Westbound trips departing from Downtown Vancouver from W. Georgia Street & Richards Street heading west on W. Georgia Street through the Stanley Park Causeway and across the Lions Gate Bridge, then west on Marine Drive and regular route to Caulfeild.

History
- October 1986 - Off-peak trips revised to terminate at Park Royal instead of continuing to Vancouver[1]
- February 1993 - Route renamed to 253 Caulfeild from 253 Cypress Park[2]
- September 2012 - Proposal to turn the route into a two-way service in Caulfeild[3]
- April 2017 - Frequency increase to every hour from 7 am to 8 pm on Sundays and Holidays[4]
- April 2019 - Downtown terminus moved from Homer Street & Dunsmuir Street to W. Georgia Street & Hamilton Street, with the layover in Larwill Park
- April 2022 - Closure of Larwill Park: Downtown layover spaces relocated to Hamilton Street and Homer Street between W. Georgia Street and Robson Street: Eastbound trips revised to terminate at W. Georgia Street & Hamilton Street instead of W. Georgia Street & Homer Street. Starting point moved from W. Georgia Street & Hamilton Street to W. Georgia Street & Richards Street, no longer routing from Larwill Park via Cambie Street to W. Georgia Street
- September 2022 - Community Shuttles used on occasional trips due to strike-related conventional bus maintenance backlogs
