This is a north-south NightBus route connecting Marine Drive Station and Downtown Vancouver running primarily on Victoria Drive. Service runs daily every 30 minutes during the late-night and early morning hours in lieu of regular 20 Victoria/Downtown service. On weekdays and Saturdays, the first three trips run 20 minutes apart. On Sundays/holidays, service runs in the late-night hours only with three trips 30 minutes apart.
Northbound trips depart Marine Drive Station heading north on Yukon Street, east on SE Marine Drive, north on Victoria Drive becoming Commercial Drive, west on E. Hastings Street, south on Granville Street, west on W. Pender Street, and south on Howe Street to Howe Street & Dunsmuir Street.
Southbound trips depart from Howe Street & Dunsmuir Street heading south on Howe Street, east on W. Georgia Street, north on Seymour Street, east on W. Hastings Street, south on Commercial Drive becoming Victoria Drive, west on SE Marine Drive, and south on Yukon Street to Marine Drive Station.
Pre-2001 - Service operated as an Owl Service component of the 20 Victoria/Downtown
October 2001 - All Owl routes cancelled due to funding shortfall[1]
September 2004 - Service introduced under NightBus branding and ran until 3:10AM from Monday to Saturday. Service ran from Downtown Vancouver to Harrison Loop with three trips in each direction
December 2004 - Sunday service introduced
April 2006 - Service revised to terminate at new bays on Howe Street between Georgia and Hastings due to the construction of the Canada Line.[2] Terminus revised from Granville & Pender to Howe & Dunsmuir and service on Granville Street discontinued
April 2012 - Last southbound trip daily revised to operate with an articulated bus to address overcrowding
June 2016 - Extended to Marine Drive Station from Harrison Loop to provide improved connections to other NightBus routes and better passenger safety[3]
