This was an east-west route connecting Coquitlam Station and Braid Station via United Boulevard. Service ran daily every hour.
Eastbound trips departed Braid Station heading south on access road, west on Braid Street, north on Brunette Avenue, east on Lougheed Highway, south on King Edward Avenue, east on United Boulevard, east on Shuswap Avenue, north on Glacier Street, west on Golden Drive, north on United Boulevard, east on Lougheed Highway, north on Colony Farm Road, east on Cape Horn Avenue becoming Holly Drive, east on Orchid Drive, north on Lougheed Highway, west on Dewdney Trunk Road, north on Mariner Way, east on Barnet Highway, and south on Lougheed Highway to Coquitlam Station.
Westbound trips departed Coquitlam Station heading south on Lougheed Highway, west on Holly Drive becoming Cape Horn Avenue, south on Colony Farm Road, west on Lougheed Highway, south on United Boulevard, north on King Edward Avenue, west on Lougheed Highway, and south on Brunette Avenue to Braid Station.
September 1991 - Service introduced as 158 Port Coquitlam Centre/New Westminster Station to replace the Port Coquitlam Centre–New Westminster Station portion of the 100 Port Coquitlam/New Westminster Station/Airport[1]
November 6, 1995 - Eastern terminus shortened from Port Coquitlam Centre to Port Coquitlam Station to reflect the opening of the West Coast Express[2]
February 1996 - Service extended from Port Coquitlam Station to Port Coquitlam Centre
September 1997 - Routing revised to service the retail-commercial area of United Boulevard between King Edward Street and Mary Hill Bypass. Introduction of eastbound Monday–Saturday evening trips via Citadel Heights instead of bypassing Riverview Hospital, taking the Mary Hill Bypass, Shaughnessy, Citadel, Pitt River, Mary Hill[3]
December 1997 - Northbound service rerouted on United Boulevard onto Shuswap, Glacier, Golden, United, Lougheed to Colony Farm to address safety concerns. Service on Cape Horn between United and Colony Farm discontinued[4]
January 2002 - Service revised as 158 Braid Station/Coquitlam Station following the completion of Braid Station. Service between Braid Street and New Westminster Station discontinued.[5] Various service adjustments:
Peak hour service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes
Discontinuation of nighttime service after 9 p.m.
Peak hour service to Port Coquitlam Station to meet West Coast Express trains discontinued
Northern terminus revised from Port Coquitlam Centre to Coquitlam Station
Service via Port Coquitlam Centre and evening service Monday–Saturday via Mary Hill Bypass and through Citadel Heights discontinued
Evening Riverview Hospital service replaced by a reroute of the 169
April 2003 - Service rerouted to run on United Boulevard and Cape Horn Avenue in both directions to improve service in the Dartmoor area and to replace discontinued portions of the 152 that was cut in September 2002[6]
December 2003 - Service discontinued and replaced by the C35[7]
