430 Metrotown Station/Brighouse Station is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is a north-south express route connecting Metrotown Station in Burnaby, Bridgeport Station and Richmond–Brighouse Station. Service runs daily every 15–30 minutes. During peak hours, service runs every 8–15 minutes in the morning and every 12 minutes in the afternoon.
Northbound trips depart Richmond–Brighouse Station heading north on No. 3 Road, east on Westminster Highway, north on Cooney Road, east on Lansdowne Road, north on Garden City Road becoming Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station. Continuing from Bridgeport Station, the route heads south on Great Canadian Way, east on Bridgeport Road, north on Knight Street and across the Knight Street Bridge, east on E. 49th Avenue becoming Imperial Avenue, north on Willingdon Extension becoming Willingdon Avenue, east on Central Boulevard to Metrotown Station.
Southbound trips depart Metrotown Station heading west on Central Boulevard, south on Willingdon Avenue becoming Willingdon Extension, west on Imperial Avenue becoming E. 49th Avenue, south on Knight Street and across the Knight Street Bridge, taking the Bridgeport Road exit and heading west on Bridgeport Road, north on Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station. Continuing from Bridgeport Station, the route heads south on Great Canadian Way becoming Garden City Road, west on Lansdowne Road, south on Cooney Road, west on Westminster Highway, and south on No. 3 Road to Richmond–Brighouse Station.

History
- December 2004 - Service introduced, running every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday[1][2]
- September 2005 - Stops added in both directions at Bridgeport Road & Great Canadian Way and at Bridgeport Road & McLennan Avenue
- April 2006 - Sunday/holiday service introduced,[3] running every hour. Weekday midday service increased from every hour to every 30 minutes
- September 2009 - Minor routing adjustment near Richmond–Brighouse Station and service frequencies increased[4]
- October 2009 - Bus bays at Richmond–Brighouse Station reorganized; stop relocated from Bay 5[5]
- September 2016 - Route operations moved from Richmond Transit Centre to Hamilton Transit Centre as part of a mass re-organization involving the closure of North Vancouver Transit Centre and the transfer of all its operations to Burnaby Transit Centre. One additional weekday nighttime trip introduced, short-turning at Knight Street & Mitchell Island as a 430 Mitchell Island
- January 2017 - Stops added at SB Willingdon & Maywood, SB Garden City & Leslie, NB Garden City & Alderbridge
- September 2017 - Various weekday service increases:
- AM rush service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- PM rush service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- September 2018 - Route operations returned to Richmond Transit Centre from Hamilton Transit Centre. Short-turn 430 Mitchell Island trip revised to run full route to Richmond–Brighouse
- April 2019 - Stops added at Knight Street & 57th Avenue in both directions
- January 2022 - COVID-19 service adjustment: Weekday eastbound service revised to start 12 minutes earlier. AM peak hour service reduced from every 10–12 minutes to every 12–15 minutes
- September 2022 - PM peak hour service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12 minutes
- November 19, 2022 - Introduction of one additional southbound trip on Saturday afternoons to address overcrowding
- January 2023 - Various daily service increases
- Weekday service increased from every 15 minutes to every 12–15 minutes between 7–8 a.m.
- Saturday afternoon service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15–20 minutes and from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes in the evening
- Sunday/holiday evening service increased from every 30 minutes to every 20–30 minutes
- April 2023 - Various daily service increases
- AM peak hour service towards Brighouse Station increased from every 15 minutes to every 10–15 minutes between 8–9 a.m.
- Saturday midday service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Sunday/holiday afternoon service increased from every 20 minutes to every 15 minutes, with the first trip towards Brighouse Station advanced to start 5 minutes earlier
- October 30, 2023 - Introduction of an AM peak hour overload southbound trip to Bridgeport Station only to address overcrowding, running when school was in session
- April 2024 - Various weekday service adjustments
- AM peak hour eastbound service reduced from every 12 minutes to every 15 minutes
- Introduction of an additional westbound trip at 5:25 a.m., pushing the previous first departure time from 5:33 a.m. to 5:37 a.m. to create a 12-minute headway
- Westbound morning service between 7 and 9 a.m. increased from every 10–15 minutes to every 8–12 minutes
- September 2024 - Weekday early morning service increased from every 12 minutes to every 10 minutes, replacing the school day-only Bridgeport Station overload tripper. Various weekend/holiday service increases:
- Saturday early morning service increased from every 20–30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- First Saturday southbound trip advanced from 6:55 a.m. to 6:45 a.m.
- Sunday/holiday evening southbound service increased from every 20–30 minutes to every 20 minutes
- January 2025 - Service extended daily from approximately 2200 (2100 on weekends/holidays) until 2300, running once an hour
