Coast Mountain Bus Company 7101–7150 were a set of 50 1995 model New Flyer Industries D40LFs built in 1995–1996. They hold the distinction of being the first low-floor units for Greater Vancouver. Initially, these units were delivered without fleet numbers as the delivery was during the fleet numbering system restructuring in 1996. Hence, the VINs on these units were not sequential.
In 2009, passenger voice-announcement and display systems by INIT were introduced. Compass Card readers were gradually installed starting in late 2012 and through 2013 on some units.
These units formerly operated under BC Transit with Vancouver Regional Transit System with the same numbers until April 1999, when all Greater Vancouver operations split off into TransLink. Several units were repurchased by BC Transit in 2014.
Although most units from this set have been retired, one unit was retained and converted into a public relations vehicle. Some units were repurchased by BC Transit and still see occasional revenue service as contingency units.
