352 Ocean Park TransLink Accessible bullet-b.png is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Route Details

This is a north-south route connecting White Rock Centre and Bridgeport Station in Richmond via Crescent Road. Service runs every 20–30 minutes. Morning service runs towards Richmond and afternoon service towards White Rock.

Northbound trips depart from White Rock Centre heading south on 152 Street, west on 16 Avenue, north on 128 Street, east on Crescent Road, north on King George Boulevard to South Surrey Park and Ride. Continuing from South Surrey Park and Ride, the route heads north on King George Boulevard, merging onto Highway 99 where it continues until the Bridgeport Road exit, where it heads west on Bridgeport Road, and north on Great Canadian Way to Bridgeport Station.

Southbound trips depart Bridgeport Station heading south on Great Canadian Way, east on Bridgeport Road, south on the bus lane on-ramp to access Highway 99 where it continues south, until exiting onto King George Boulevard and into South Surrey Park and Ride. Continuing from South Surrey Park and Ride, the route heads south on King George Boulevard, west on Crescent Road, south on 128th Street, east on 16 Avenue becoming North Bluff Road, and north on 152 Street to White Rock Centre.

History

  • October 1975 - Service introduced as 352 Crescent Road, a peak hour only service running between White Rock and South Surrey[1]
  • May 1976 - Service extended to Vancouver as 652 Crescent Road[2]
  • November 1986 - Service proposed to be diverted to 22nd Street Station in June 1987 instead of travelling to Downtown Vancouver[3]
  • June 1987 - Service rebranded from 352 Crescent Road to 352 White Rock Centre[4]
  • September 2000 - Northbound service revised to service Massey Exchange by request only following the relocation of the stop from the Tourist Information Centre to the Steveston Highway off-ramp.[5] Operations transferred from Surrey Transit Centre to Richmond Transit Centre
  • August 2001 - Service is provided by newly acquired Orion V highway coaches[6]
  • April 2003 - Route became wheelchair accessible[7]

  • September 2009 - Northern terminus revised to Bridgeport Station from Burrard Station and service in Vancouver discontinued following the completion of the Canada Line[9]
  • April 2019 - Service proposed to terminate at White Rock Centre instead of at 148 Street & 26 Street to serve more passengers and discontinue a low-ridership portion of the route as part of a transit network realignment in the South Surrey/White Rock area involving the breaking up of the 351 Crescent Beach/Bridgeport Station into the 350 Crescent Beach/White Rock Centre and the 351 White Rock Centre/Bridgeport Station and to introduce double-decker buses on the 351 [10]
  • September 2020 - Ocean Park terminus revised from 148 Street & 26 Avenue to White Rock Centre. Service on 144 Street, 20 Avenue, and 148 Street discontinued.[11] Route renamed from 352 Ocean Park/Bridgeport Station to 352 Ocean Park and introduction of later morning northbound and later evening southbound trips
  • November 7, 2022 - Southbound routing revised to no longer take Sea Island Way. Service revised to use Bridgeport Road to access Highway 99 following the completion of the bus lane on-ramp
  • May 15, 2023 - One AM trip revised to operate with urban buses instead of suburban buses to address overcrowding
