143 Burquitlam Station/SFU is a bus route operated by Coast Mountain Bus Company in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Route Details
This is an east-west route that connects Burquitlam Station to Simon Fraser University. This route runs on weekdays only. The first trip westbound departs Burquitlam Station at 6:00 AM; the last trip eastbound departs SFU at 9:50 PM.
The route departs Burquitlam Station to Clarke Road and then Como Lake Avenue westbound. It continues from Como Lake to Broadway where Como meets North Road and then Gaglardi Way up Burnaby Mountain. It leaves Gaglardi onto University Drive East and takes East Campus Road to terminate at SFU Exchange.
Eastbound trips depart SFU Exchange via University High Street to Tower Road, South Campus Road, Gaglardi Way northbound, University Drive West back onto Gaglardi to get down Burnaby Mountain.
When school is in session, one school trip departs from the 2500th block on Como Lake Avenue and travels west along Como Lake Avenue, bypassing Burquitlam Station and continues along Como Lake Avenue until it meets North Road, where it resumes its regular route to SFU.

History
- September 1989 - Service introduced as 143 Lougheed Park–Ride/SFU, connecting Lougheed Park and Ride, Lougheed Mall, and SFU, operating every 30 minutes during peak hours Mondays to Fridays[1]
- September 1990 - Service between Lougheed Park and Ride and Lougheed Mall discontinued. Service revised to operate between SFU and Coquitlam Park and Ride via Como Lake, with three trips during each peak hour[2]
- December 1993 - Left turn lane into Coquitlam Centre Exchange eliminated forcing service reroute by Lougheed Highway to Barnet Highway, Mariner and then Access Road[3]
- April 1997 - Service revised to no longer detour to Port Moody Station[4]
- November 1999 - Route became wheelchair accessible[5]
- October 2001 - Weekday service after 6:00 PM discontinued due to funding shortfall[6]
- November 2003 - Service with New Flyer Industries D60LF articulated buses made permanent[7]
- September 2008 - Service improved to 12 minute frequency during peak periods; service day increased for last trip to depart SFU at 10:00 PM[8]
- September 2009 - Peak period and direction service improved to 10 minutes[9]
- December 2016 - Eastern terminus moved to Burquitlam Station to reduce service duplication with the Evergreen Extension. Overall frequency increased to 10-15 minutes[10]
- September 2019 - All-door boarding introduced at all stops[11]
