Warden/Enterprise is a vivastation located at the intersection of Enterprise Boulevard and Warden Avenue in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Basic

Eastbound:

• Located on the south side of the Enterprise Rapidway just east of Warden Avenue. Its stop number is 9742.

Westbound:

• Located on the north side of the Enterprise Rapidway just east of Warden Avenue. Its stop number is 9743.

History

Warden/Enterprise originally opened as Warden on November 20, 2005 as part of Viva phase 3. It originally served Viva Purple and Viva Green, and Viva Pink was added January 2, 2006 as part of Viva phase 4.

Construction began September 2009 on a 1km section of rapidway adjacent to Enterprise Boulevard, between Warden Avenue and Birchmount Road, including a new relocated Warden Station. This section and station were built to test the new design before widespread construction begins. The new Warden station opened on the Enterprise rapidway on March 6, 2011. The old vivastations (both thin-sized shelters) were retained for a period of time along with the ticket machines, with a sign directing them to the new stop on the rapidway. The Presto machines were removed and a single reader was placed on the side of the new fare machine located to the west of the shelter.

The old vivastations were used again from August 19, 2011 to September 1, 2011 as adjustments were performed in the prototype vivastation such as surface materials. After service resumed in the rapidway, the eastbound fare machine and shelter were removed while the old westbound shelter remained. This proved useful, as buses had to stop at the old vivastations again between July 29, 2013 and August 31, 2013 (with a temporary fare machine and a regular shelter installed at the eastbound platform) due to the removal of cobblestones along the Enterprise Rapidway.

With the opening of a new station at Warden Avenue and Highway 7 on December 17, 2017, this station was renamed to Warden/Enterprise.
