Route Details
Route 52 serves Yonge Street north of Davis Drive, as well as Mount Albert Road and Park Avenue.
This route serves the Holland Landing community. It also serves Upper Canada Mall, Dr. J.M. Denison Secondary School, Green Lane Centre, Holland Landing Airport, Holland Landing Community Centre, and East Gwillimbury Public Library.
Route 52 connects to Viva Blue at Newmarket GO Bus Terminal.

Historic Branches
History
In 2002, YRT started expanding service to smaller communities that did not yet have access to public transit other than GO Transit. Before, it's main focus was maintaining and increasing service operated by the former agencies it had acquired, therefore communities that did not have service before amalgamation largely went unnoticed. One of the smaller communities that needed service was Holland Landing, located a few kilometers north of Newmarket. YRT decided to implement a new route to serve this area, and connect it to the rest of the York Region network.
- September 3, 2002 - Route 52 begins service.
- November 7, 2004 - New service introduced to East Gwillimbury GO Station for train connections only.
- May 8, 2005 - Weekday morning rush hour trips no longer serviced Upper Canada Mall, using Davis Drive and Yonge Street instead due to traffic congestion.
- December 2012 - Route 52 was declared fully accessible.
- April 21, 2013 - As part of the 2013 Annual Service Plan, all conventional bus service after 7pm on weekdays and Saturdays on this route is replaced with Dial-a-Ride service. The 5:51am northbound trip and 5:56am southbound trip on weekdays were discontinued.
- September 1, 2013 - Weekday limited trips to Silver City is discontinued due to low ridership.
- August 1, 2017 - To serve new communities in Sharon, the limited AM service routing to East Gwillimbury GO Station was changed to operate via Leslie Street between Mount Albert Road and Green Lane. Service via 2nd Concession along this stretch was cancelled. Dial-a-Ride service on the route is separated into its own distinct service and is now known as Dial-a-Ride Holland Landing.
- November 4, 2019 - Weekday midday and evening service is supplemented with MOR Holland Landing providing direct stop-to-stop service.
- September 6, 2020 - Route is reduced to operate during rush hours only with all weekday off-peak and Saturday service cancelled and replaced with on-request services. Limited service to East Gwillimbury GO Station and the routing along Leslie Street is also eliminated.
