Humber College North Campus bus terminal
|Humber College North Campus Bus Terminal|
|Transit Agencies||TTC, YRT, MiWay, Brampton Transit|
The Humber College North Campus is situated on Humber College Boulevard just west of Highway 27 in northern Etobicoke. Bus routes from Brampton Transit, MiWay, Toronto Transit Commission, and York Region Transit serve a terminal located on the east side of the campus grounds bordered by Silver Bell Lane and Arboretum Boulevard.
The current bus terminal was opened on September 1st, 2015. Prior to that, buses would pick up and drop off on either side of Humber College Boulevard in front of the college. Large numbers of students would have to cross the street to catch the buses. Consolidating the location of the bus stops would make it safer and more convenient. The site of the terminal was formerly a parking lot and part of a roadway. It was blocked off in 2012 and used as part of the construction site for the Learning Resource Commons (LRC). As the LRC neared completion, construction of the bus terminal began in early 2015.
