Route 340 provided express service along Bayview Avenue in Richmond Hill between Steeles Avenue East and Subrisco Avenue, and connecting the area directly to Finch GO Bus Terminal. The route only operated during the weekday peak periods, providing express service only at signalized bus stops between Elgin Mills Road and High Tech Road. Regular stops are served within the Woodriver/Subrisco street looping and at Bayview Plaza. Express fares apply on this route.

• September 3, 2006 - Route 340 began service.

• September 4, 2007 - Service is reduced to operate during weekday morning rush hour only. Improved service on route 91A from Finch GO Bus Terminal will replace afternoon peak service.

• November 16, 2008 - Route is discontinued and merged into the 91E Bayview branch.
