222 Aurora-Newmarket GO Shuttle was a shuttle bus route operated by York Region Transit in Newmarket and Aurora, Ontario, Canada.
Route Details
Route 222 mainly served Stonehaven Avenue, Hollidge Avenue, John West Way, and Mary Street.
This route served the northern Aurora and southeastern Newmarket communities, connecting them to Aurora GO Station.
History

A branch of 34 was operating along a similar route to Aurora GO Station. Although this branch did not technically run along most of the major route, it was still classified (and signed) as 34.
- September 3, 2006 - YRT decided to turn this branch into a GO Shuttle route, running on almost the same route, but rerouting it along a portion of route 31's looping.
- 2007 - YRT announced that GO Shuttles would allow passengers to get off before a GO Station in the AM, and on after the station in the PM. This allows people to use them as a regular YRT bus. YRT warns that if the GO train is cancelled, or there are no passengers at the GO station, the run will be cancelled.
- August 31, 2008 - In order to improve arrival times at Aurora GO Station, the southern-end routing is revised to no longer operate via Wellington Street East. Instead, buses operate via Mary Street and Industrial Parkway South to the station bus loop.
- December 2012 - Route 222 was declared fully accessible.
- 2013 - The 2013 Annual Service Plan originally had the route discontinued, however this was never implemented due to concerns from connecting GO train passengers.
- July 2, 2017 - As part of the 2017 Annual Service Plan, service into Newmarket and 404 Town Centre is eliminated due to low ridership. Service is instead restructured to serve the new development along William Graham Drive south of St John's Sideroad. The route maintained the similar routing from Aurora GO Station to Leslie/Stonehaven, but service continued south along Leslie Street to William Graham Drive. As the route no longer serves Newmarket, the route is renamed from "Aurora-Newmarket GO Shuttle" to "Aurora GO Shuttle".
- September 6, 2020 - Route 222 was discontinued due to low ridership.
Vehicles
Route 222 was primarily a 30ft route, and used E-Z Rider II/BRT/MAX. Occasionally an Arboc Spirit of Mobility bus may provide service.
