Route 25D served Don Mills Road and Leslie Street between Steeles Avenue East and Commerce Valley Drive, East and West Beaver Creek Road, and Granton Drive.
This route served the Thornhill community. It also served the Shoppes on Steeles and 404, St Robert Catholic High School, Beaver Creek Business Park, and Richmond Hill Municipal Offices.
This route had 1 main branch:
- 25D Pape Station - 16th Avenue (Weekdays)
Service was contracted out to the TTC by Markham Transit. This involved TTC operating the buses and collecting the fares, but Markham Transit paying for any losses in running the service. A TTC fare was required for passengers travelling south of Steeles Avenue but only a Markham fare was required if the entire trip was north of Steeles. When Markham Transit was acquired by YRT, the contract was picked up as well, with similar conditions.
Service first operated as a rush-hour only branch to 16th Avenue. It was a link from Toronto to the Beaver Creek Business Park, a major commercial destination. Service was increased with the introduction of weekend service and the expansion to all-day service on weekdays. Also, with the opening of the Sheppard Subway on November 24, 2002, buses now diverted into Don Mills Station.
On May 10, 2010, route 25D was discontinued with service within the Beaver Creek Business Park fully operated by York Region Transit with the new 90B branch. The last day of service for route 25D was May 7, 2010.
