Promenade Terminal is a transit terminal located in Vaughan, ON. It is located at the south-west corner of Centre Street and North Promenade, west of Bathurst Street. The terminal is located on land inside The Promenade Shopping Centre.
Promenade consists of a large D-shaped island with multiple platforms around it. The island slopes southward, but is gradual enough to not require stairs. Large concrete planters in the centre contain mature trees. 3 large shelters are scattered around the terminal area to provide a waiting place for passengers out of the weather. Two fare machines are located on the west side of the terminal, next to platform 7.
At approximately 4,230 passengers on an average weekday, Promenade Terminal is the 6th busiest transit passenger loading location in the YRT/Viva network according to the 2013 Transportation Fact Book. This is an decrease from approximately 4,480 weekday passengers from the 2011 Transportation Fact Book.
History
Promeande Terminal originally was shared between Richmond Hill Transit, Vaughan Transit and the TTC, whom all ran routes through the terminal. Brampton Transit also ran into the terminal as part of the shared route 77. YRT took over operations of both Richmond Hill and Vaughan Transits, and inherited the terminal along with them in 2001. It was known as the Thornhill Terminal until the introduction of Viva.
To accompany the increasing passenger loads due to the introduction of Viva, Promenade Terminal was redesigned in 2005, with the addition of one bay, new bus shelters, repaved island, and a new Viva ticket machine for Viva services. An additional multiride fare machine was added in 2007.
Viva service was relocated from inside the terminal to the adjacent Disera-Promenade station upon opening of the Centre Street Rapidway on January 3, 2020.
Routes

Promenade serves 1 Viva route, 4 YRT routes and 1 TTC route using 8 platforms. Bay numbering starts from the northwest corner and proceeds clockwise.
Since most routes pass through the terminal in both directions, many platforms are shared by 2 routes. To reduce confusion among riders, no YRT routes share the same platform for both directions.
