Route 11 served Islington Avenue from Steeles Avenue West to Woodbridge Avenue, and Woodbridge Avenue from Islington Avenue to Martin Grove Road.

This route served the Woodbridge neighbourhood. It also served Woodbridge College and Woodbridge Memorial Arena.

Route 11 connected to Viva Orange at Islington/Highway 7.

History

E-Z Rider II #546 at the Islington Loop on route 11.

Vaughan Transit's route 1 was the precursor to YRT route 11.

• September 4, 2001 - Vaughan Transit was merged into YRT in January 2001 and on this date, this route was renumbered from 1 to 11 in order to avoid route number duplication across the York Region Transit network

• September 3, 2002 - New hourly service introduced during weekday and Saturday evenings.

• November 10, 2005 - All-day Sunday and holiday service was introduced.

• January 2006 - A few trips started operating on an expanded loop via Forest Dr, Martin Grove, Langstaff and Kipling in 2006, to serve students heading to Woodbridge College. During off-peak periods, route 11 often interlined with route 12 or 13 at Islington Loop.

• April 2010 - Route 11 was plagued with ridership problems, partially because of its short length and having its entire service area overlapped by another route. Off-peak service was eliminated.

• July 1, 2012 - Route 11 was merged into route 10 Woodbridge, eliminating route 11.
