360 Vaughan Express was an express bus route operated by York Region Transit in Vaughan and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Route Details

Route 360 served Bass Pro Mills Drive, Highway 400, Highway 401, and Yorkdale Road. The route only operated during the weekday peak periods. This route served the Concord community.

Route 360 was the only YRT express route that does not end at Finch Station. Rather, it used Yorkdale Station as the subway terminus. As well, it was the only express route to offer 2-way service.

Route 360 did not directly connect to Viva.

• September 4, 2005 - Route 360 started as the first express route not operating in Markham. Buses started at Major Mackenzie Drive and Melville Avenue, and travelled along the loop counter-clockwise back to Melville Avenue, then south to Vaughan Mills Terminal and to Highway 400. Buses then returned along the same route, operated along the loop again, and ended service at Melville Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive. In practice, the buses assigned to 360 do multiple trips, with the end of a northbound trip around the loop being the start to a southbound trip.

• December 2012 - Route 360 was declared fully accessible.

• 2013 - As part of the 2013 Annual Service Plan, service north of Vaughan Mills Mall is eliminated and replaced by the new route 26. The route was also renamed from "Maple Express" to "Vaughan Express".

• December 15, 2017 - With the opening of the new TTC Line 1 extension to Vaughan, service on this route is eliminated as the new subway replaced the need for express service between Yorkdale Terminal and Vaughan Mills Terminal. The last runs operated with D40LF units 334 (off the 466 school special) and 335 (off the 464/462) as the last two buses that evening.

Vehicles

Route 360 initially used primarily Southwest-assigned 2003 Orion V's 307-310. In later accessible years Southwest-assigned New Flyer D40LF were frequently used, often older 2003 units (for the evening rush hour runs, they entered service off PM school specials).
