Routing Details

AM: This route operates from Simonston Boulevard via north on Don Mills Road, west on John Street, and north on Bayview Avenue to serve Thornlea Secondary School at Willowbrook Road. It then follows the same routing as route 3 along Willowbrook Road and Green Lane to Leslie Street, then continues north on Leslie Street to the school.

PM: Reverse AM routing.

History

September 2003 - St Robert was one of the first high schools to have a school special. Originally unnumbered, it operated on two branches: One via the current route 3 west to Bayview/John, the other south on Leslie St. to Steeles Ave. The route was given the designation "St. Robert School Special 1".

September 5, 2004 - Both school special routes were assigned the number 403.

September 4, 2005 - School Special 1 via Green Lane was renumbered to 413, while School Special 2 via Leslie was renumbered to 414.

September 2, 2008 - Route is extended east on John Street and south on Don Mills Road to loop on Simonston Boulevard to provide more service to students attending Thornlea Secondary and St Robert High School. Route is renamed from "St Robert School Special via Green Lane" to "St Robert/Thornlea School Special". This routing remains relatively the same today.

April 17, 2016 - Route is renamed from "St. Robert/Thornlea School Special" to "St. Robert School Special".

History

May 9, 2004 - New school special route introduced due to increased demand in the Richmond Hill area for the International Baccalaureate program. The route was named "St. Robert School Special 3". It originally operated during both AM and PM periods between Richmond Hill GO Station and the school, following the same routing as today.
