Routing Details
This route was essentially a westbound route 1 trip that operated between the school and Finch GO Bus Terminal via Bayview Ave.
AM: There was no AM service on this route.
PM: This route started at the school and went east on Church St., south on 9th Line, and west on Highway 7, following the old route 1 via Bayview routing to Finch Station.
History
Markham District was one of the first high schools to have a school special, introduced in September 2003. Originally unnumbered, it was given the number 405 in September 2004 and renumbered 408 for the 2005 school season. As the route was virtually entirely duplicated by the old route 1 via Bayview, it was eliminated for the 2006 school season.

Routing Details
This route was an extension of route 18 with a diversion inside Cornell to serve more students.

PM: Reverse routing.
History
Route 409 started service in September 2004 as route 406, in order to serve the new Cornell community. Since Bur Oak was not fully connected to Church St. yet, the route operated via 9th Line, Whites Hill, Bur Oak, Almira, and Country Glen to Church St. initially.
Route 406 was renumbered to route 409 for the 2005 school season.
As more of Bur Oak Ave. opened, route 409 was modified for the 2006 school season to serve Bur Oak Ave. throughout the whole stretch east of McCowan except between 16th Ave. and Whites Hill, where it continued to divert via 9th Line. With Bur Oak finally open full length in January 2007, the routing was modified to serve Bur Oak all the way from McCowan to Church St.
In the 2007 school season, route 409 was modified to serve Old Markham Bypass and Whites Hill instead of 9th Line. The last route change for route 409 was to have the route start/end at Kennedy Rd., which took place in the 2008 school season.
Route 409 was eliminated for the 2013 school season, as riders can transfer to either routes 410 or 411 at Markham-Stouffville Hospital.

History
Route 410 started service in September 2004 as route 407, in order to serve the Box Grove community and to provide route 2A customers a transfer-free ride to the school.
Route 407 was renumbered to route 410 for the 2005 school season. It was eliminated in the 2006 school season, being replaced by new route 2A school special trips (which eventually became route 411).
