This route was originally the 2A branch of route 2
- July 2, 2013 - The 2013 Service Plan eliminated the last two eastbound trips and the last westbound trip due to low ridership. With the successful lobbying from the Cornell Rate Payers Association to minimize transit routes serving the hospital vicinity, route 2A was renumbered to route 14 on July 2, 2013, in addition to having service rerouted away from Markham-Stouffville Hospital to serve Box Grove Smart!Centres. At the same time, the Russell Jarvis short-turn during weekday evenings was eliminated, and all trips now operate the full routing from Woodbine to Copper Creek.
