Branches

- Viva Green Don Mills Station - McCowan Road (Weekday rush hours only)
History
- October 16, 2005 - Viva Green begins operating as part of Viva Phase 2. It first operated between Unionville GO Station and Don Mills Station 7 days a week. Buses used Highway 407 between Unionville GO Station and 14th Avenue as the construction of Enterprise Boulevard was incomplete.
- November 21, 2005 - New weekday rush hour extension to McCowan Road added as part of Viva Phase 3.
- 2007 - Viva Green was officially assigned the number 606. This number was only seen by the public for a short time before being removed, although this number is used on Google Maps' transit routing for the route.
- September 2, 2007 - Viva Green became a rush-hour-only route because of poor ridership during off-peak periods. This created the first section of the Viva system to only be served during peak periods.
- 2016 - York Region Transit releases the Frequent Transit Network Plan which will restructure Viva Green. The route will provide express service along Leslie Street between Don Mills Station and Major Mackenzie Drive, and on Major Mackenzie Drive between Leslie Street and just west of Yonge Street. As of today, there are no proposed timelines for implementing the restructured route.
- April 5, 2020 - All service is temporarily suspended until further notice due to lower ridership from the COVID-19 pandemic.
- September 3rd, 2023 - YRT announced that VIVA Green will permanently not be returning to service since being suspended in April 2020, along with several other routes that were temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 Pandemic.[1] Alternate transit options include routes Viva Purple/Purple A, 24, 90, & TTC 68B.[1]
Vehicles
Viva Green was primarily a 40ft route and used Van Hool A330 buses.
