10 Woodbridge was a local bus route operated by York Region Transit in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.
Route 10 served Woodbridge Avenue between Martin Grove Road and Islington Avenue, Langstaff Road between Islington Avenue and Ansley Grove Road, Ansley Grove Road between Langstaff Road and Blue Willow Drive, and Portage Parkway between Weston Road and Millway Avenue.
This route served the Woodbridge community. It also served Father Bressani Catholic High School, Ansley Grove Library, and Chancellor Community Centre.
This route had 2 branches:
YRT implemented route 10 in 2001 to provide extra service on Islington, Woodbridge Ave., Martin Grove Rd., Rutherford Rd., Langstaff Rd. and Ansley Grove Rd., and to provide a direct link between Woodbridge and York University. Its original routing provided a large on-street loop from Islington Ave. and Langstaff Rd. via Islington Ave., Woodbridge Ave., Martin Grove Rd., Highway 27, Rutherford Rd., and Islington Ave., then used Langstaff Rd., Ansley Grove Rd., Winges Rd., Weston Rd., and Steeles Ave. to York University. Initially, it only operated during rush hours, but was expanded to include all-day and Saturday service in September 2005, and Sunday the following January. Service was suspended during the summer for the first few years it was operated, due to the drop in ridership when classes at York University were out.
Route 10 was affected by the York University strike between November 6, 2008 and January 29, 2009.
Route 10 was merged with route 11 in July 2012. This removed the large on-street loop through Woodbridge in favour of two-way service along Woodbridge Ave. The portion of the route along Highway 27 and Rutherford Rd. was replaced by an extension of route 7. Every second trip uses Langstaff Rd. and Kipling Ave. to loop, which originally only saw service for school specials.
Route 10 was declared fully accessible in December 2012.
Route 10 was renamed from "York University-Woodbridge" to "Woodbridge" on June 30, 2013.
Due to low ridership on weekends, weekend service was replaced by Dial-a-Ride Woodbridge on April 20, 2014. Dial-a-Ride Woodbridge provides service to all stops of route 10 north of Highway 7, with the main pick-up point at Weston Road and Highway 7.
With the opening of the Line 1 subway extension to Vaughan, route 10 was rerouted to terminate at the new SmartCentres Place terminal, and no longer directly serves York University. Dial-a-Ride Woodbridge service was also revised to reflect the new route 10 routing.
On April 5, 2020, the route is replaced by the new On-Request Woodbridge service which operates during the weekdays from 8am to 7:45pm.
