AM: This route starts at Commerce Valley Drive West at South Park Road and follows the same routing as route 82 north to 16th Avenue. It then operates west on 16th Avenue, south on Bayview Avenue, west on High Tech Road, north and west on Silver Linden Drive, south on Red Maple Road, west on Highway 7 through Richmond Hill Centre to Yonge Street, and west on Garden Avenue to the school.
PM: This route starts service on Pearson Avenue, then operates via south on Pearson Avenue to Garden Avenue where it follows the reverse AM routing.
History
- September 2003 - New school special route introduced as Langstaff School Specials 1 and 2 providing service along Valleymede Drive to Langstaff Secondary School.
- September 5, 2004 - Both school special branches are assigned the number 444. The afternoon routing for School Special 2 is extended north on Spadina Road to Major Mackenzie Drive.
- January 27, 2008 - School Special 2 is separated and now represented by the new route 451.
- April 24, 2011 - Buses no longer serve the bus terminal at Langstaff GO Station and will instead serve the on-street stops directly outside the station.
