This route provides supplemental express service for the Scarborough RT (Line 3) and operates during the Monday-Friday peak periods between Kennedy Station and Scarborough Centre Station.

History
- September 3, 2000 - Route introduced as the 131E Nugget Express.
- September 2, 2003 - Stop added on Brimley Road and Lawrence Avenue East.
- September 6, 2016 - Branch 131F is introduced providing exclusive express service between Kennedy Station and Scarborough Centre Station only.
- March 24, 2017 - Branch 131F is eliminated due to low ridership.
- November 19, 2018 - With the implementation of the TTC's express network, the express portion of the 131E Nugget branch was renumbered and renamed to 903 Kennedy-Scarborough Centre Express. This route number was chosen as the route runs in parallel with Line 3 Scarborough.
- May 8, 2020 - Due to decreased ridership during the COVID-19 pandemic, the route is suspended until further notice.
- September 3, 2023 - with the permanent closure of Line 3 Scarborough, the 903 has been reinstated, running along Kennedy northbound, and on Midland southbound. Buses operate every 2-3 minutes.
