History

• September 3, 2000 - Vehicles leaving operational service at York University remain in service while operating southbound to Sentinel Avenue and Finch Avenue to service stops in the south part of York University.

• August 31, 2008 - Bike rack service is added to route 106.

• November 23, 2008 - Moved to Wilson Division.

• September 4, 2016 - Moved to Arrow Rd. Division.

• December 17, 2017 - With the opening of the new Line 1 extension, the northern terminus is changed from York University to Pioneer Village Station and the route is renamed from 106 York University to reflect the main thoroughfare that this route serves. Moved to Wilson Division.
