Route Details

The current routing of route 73.

This route services Royal York Road north of Bloor Street. It also provides service on Albion Road south of Claireport Crescent and La Rose Avenue between Royal York Road and Scarlett Road. There is one southern terminal, which is Royal York Station. Northern terminals include Eglinton Avenue and La Rose Avenue for 73B, Claireport Crescent for 73C, and Knob Hill Drive for 73D. Branch 73D only operates during rush hours on weekdays.

History

  • May 8, 2011 - Due to system-wide service cuts, service is removed on the 73B branch after 7pm.
  • September 6, 2015 - Service on the 73B Eglinton and La Rose branch after 7pm is restored.
  • March 27, 2017 - Peak period branch 73A is extended north to Knob Hill Drive in order to improve service reliability. The branch is redesignated as 73D.
  • August 4, 2019 - Due to low ridership, late evening service on branch 73B on Saturday, Sunday and holidays is eliminated.
