Route Details
This route services Avenue Road north of Eglinton Avenue. Its southern terminal is Eglinton Station and the northern terminal is Bombay Avenue, just north of Highway 401, for its one branch, 61.
History
- February 17, 1992 - Route created from a combination of 61 Nortown and 1 Armour Heights.
- September 5, 2004 - Service on the short turn branch to Roe Loop is removed. All service now runs to Highway 401 and Bombay Loop.
- May 9, 2011 - Service removed due to system-wide cuts after 10pm on Sundays and Holidays.
- June 22, 2014 - Branch 61A to Highway 401 has been changed to 61 due to a system-wide reorganization of route branch designations.
- September 6, 2015 - Service after 10pm on Sundays and Holidays is restored.
