History

[1]

  • January 6, 1992 - In the morning peak period, the TTC operated 3 eastbound trips from Long Branch with the rollsign "504 Parliament". Service would terminate in the east at King & Parliament.
  • March 26, 1995 - As a result of higher than expected ridership and the merging of streetcar routes 501 Queen and 507 Long Branch, this service was renumbered 508. It won't be until 1999 when the new 508 rollsigns were created to distinguish this service.
  • June 19, 2015 - Service is suspended due to a shortage of streetcars.
  • September 3, 2019 - Limited peak-period service resumes. Service now operates with low-floor Bombardier Flexity SmallAccessible.gif streetcars.
